CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
As part of the founding team of two successful natural food supermarket chains, Wild Oats Markets and Sunflower Farmers Markets, Patrick has more than 20 years of Senior Management experience. He has been instrumental in the development of more than 140 locations from inception through to the sale of both supermarket chains.
He was the Director of New Store Development at Wild Oats Markets from 1990 to 2000, where he oversaw an aggressive growth plan of building more than 12 new stores a year and supervising numerous remodels. In 2000, Gilliland helped to form Sunflower Farmers Markets and assumed the role of Vice President of New Store Development and Construction. Sunflower grew to 40 stores before it was acquired by Sprouts Farmers Market in June of 2012. Patrick is a licensed General Contractor in 7 states and has a proven track record of achieving significant time and capital savings when developing a new retail location.
Patrick majored in Asian studies at the University of Colorado and continued his studies at the National Taiwan Univ. He has used his experience in China directly importing supermarket-related items further reducing building and fixture costs.
Bo learned the concepts of hard work and being a team player starting at the early age of 3 years old as a childhood actor in Hollywood, CA. He earned his screen actors guild union card by appearing in the hit television show Happy Days as Ron Howard's son. Bo appeared in over 90 television commercials, 50 television shows and 9 movies.
At the age of 16 years old Bo was following his passion for food and graduated as the top student in his class at the Art Institute of Los Angeles. He continued in the years ahead and after completing his culinary apprenticeship in LA he was recruited to compete in Germany at the Culinary Olympics. Bo secured a silver medal in the Olympics, beating out representatives of over 30 competing countries.
In 2003, Bo turned his love for food and service into Lucky’s Market in Boulder Colorado. Over the past 9 years Bo has expanded this business by adding a Café, Bakery and Creamery to meet the needs of his growing customer base. Since opening, sales have grown by over 500% at this single location and this year Lucky’s was voted Best of Boulder as Boulder's Best Grocery store and Best Local Business. Bo has proven that by providing the best in quality foods at the lowest prices in town combined with passionate service that an independent can become number 1 in a competitive marketplace.
